One Humane exists so that no shelter has to figure it out alone. We find strong local organizations doing hard work in their communities, and we put the strength of a national family behind them: moving animals to where the homes are, raising the standard of medicine, coaching the craft of lifesaving, and building fundraising that lasts. The animals belong to every community. The mission belongs to all of us.

Delaware became the first no-kill state in the nation. Central Pennsylvania reached no-kill within months of its humane society joining the family. Washington, DC reached the no-kill benchmark in the first year of our care, with more than 7,000 animals served and a 93 percent live release rate. The model is not a theory. It is a repeatable playbook, and every new partner starts with it on day one.
The founding organization built this record across five jurisdictions, five rescue airlifts, and missions from Houston to South Korea. It is the playbook every One Humane partner now inherits.
